Moving Assistance Program

We understand that making a move can be overwhelming. So relax and let The Village assist you with everything from planning to packing.

BEFORE YOUR MOVE

  • The Village will contact the moving company, schedule a move-in date, and offer you a moving credit up to $500!

  • The Village will assist with the transfer of your telephone number or establish a new number (if you are new to the area).

  • The Village will provide you with eight complimentary hours of in-house assistance, which can be used before or after your move (packing, unpacking, etc.)

  • The Village will notify the post office of your change of address and provide you with new address labels.

  • The Village will assist you with your furniture placement.

  • The Village is available to assist you with canceling your utilities, if requested.

  • The Village will provide you with information about estate sales and donation pickups.

  • The Village Moving Assistance Coordinator will be in touch throughout the planning process. Remember to pack an overnight tote bag with your medication, eye glasses, checkbook and keys.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR MOVE

  • The Village Housekeeping Department staff will make up your bed and notify you of your weekly cleaning day.

  • The Village Maintenance Department staff will connect your cable and schedule an appointment to hang your pictures.

  • The Village Dining Room staff will deliver lunch and dinner for your convenience.
